My vote goes 100% to the Ruger. There are only a few small differences between the 9e & the SR9 & none effect how the gun functions. With the 9e, Ruger did away with the loaded chambr indidcator that many disliked, it has less machine work on the slide to lower production cost, has a black oxide coating instead of nitride, & only includes one mag. The frame & internal workings of the pistol haven't changed at all from the SR9. I have several thousand rounds through my Gen. 2 SR9 without a single failure of any kind so reliability isn't a question IMHO. I also like the ergonomics & adjustable backstrap of the Ruger.
