Colt Branded Aguila .22LR

I'm curious to know if any of you have experience with the Colt branded Aguila .22LR 40 grain solid lead ammo. A group of friends & I are considering splitting a 5000 round purchase, but we don't want ammo that won't reliably cycle in our semi-auto pistols & rifles (Ruger, GSG 1911-22, others).

Anyone?

Colt has been outsourcing or licensing their name a lot lately. There was a "Colt Competition" for sale lately for $800. Turns out none of it is actually made by Colt. This ammo is just like any other Aguila ammo. I will say that Aguila ammo tends to be pretty good.

Being nosey here. What kind of Aguila are you getting? And your price and source? I'd like to try some as well. All I've ever shot were the Colibri.

Talk to Aaron...order over the phone, pay by check & avoid the 3% credit card fees. Have it shipped to the nearest FedEx depot, sign for it & pick it up there so it doesn't sit on your door step.

Bring a dolly..

5000 round order .22LR 40 grain lead round nose; inventory is depleting quickly.

Thanks, midgett. I appreciate the information. I know things have gone up. Wow. That's twice what I paid for a case a while back. But, I guess that's what's going on now.

Anyone interested in spitting a case 2 to 4 ways?

Guess I've been pretty lucky. I signed up for notifications through midway for bulk packs of some of my normal stuff that I run through my 10/22 and this week picked up 500 cci blazers for $22 ($33 after shipping). Also picked up 500 mini mags through them about a month ago for 9.99 per hundred, think it was around $62 after shipping but for mini mags about the best I've seen.

Yes plankmi, I'd say you've been fortunate. I have tried that method with varying success. I'm at a computer several hours per day, and I haven't been able to scoop the deals with regularity.

i will be desperate enough in 5000 more rounds downrange to go 12 cents a round.

I understand your thoughts. But I'm thinking of the time after the 5000 are gone and you and I need some.
