Saw these mentioned elsewhere and thought I'd throw it out for the resident "gear queers" (like me) who love to hear about new toys...

Nah, they don't look like any of the SureFire lights that I have seen lately. I carry a 6PL and have a G2L at home and there are a lot of visible differences between the designs.

S&W takes a lot of pride in the fact that they have brought a lot of things back in house over the past few years and have invested a lot of money in new CNC gear. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that at least the bodies of these lights are being made in house.

Cool! I'm glad for S&W, then. I really like them as a brand and was hoping that with the TC buyout and all that they would bring some really cool things to market. Unfortunately, the I-bolt seems to have gotten no love.

Hope these flashers do well for them.

I've been waiting for an i-Bolt review from one of our members but so far, nothing. He may still be hiding it among his golf clubs. :)

Anyway, back on topic... I wonder if those use glass lenses or plastic. The SF G2 used Lexan but the G2L and P6L switched over to Pyrex because of the heat the LED units generate from sustained use. Neither of those product descriptions say, and I can't find anything about these lights on the S&W web site.

The 200 lumen light at least looks to be usable for a pain compliance device.

Smith and Wesson has no influence or input on these lights.

These lights are built under license from S&W (ie: Company A buy the rights to market lights with the S&W name) by a company in West TN.

We carried lights from this company a few years ago, and they are complete crap.

Save your money, and buy a light from Streamlight, Surefire, Pentagon, Pelican

Here is the Smiff and Western light manufacturer:

Nice, but not for that price. I picked up a Coleman LED flashlight at Walmart the other night. About the same size as a Surefire G2. 85 Lumens, 8 hrs battery time, ON/OFF button on the battery cap. It was like $17.
