Picked on up this week and ran 150 rounds through it already, good working CCO 1911 ,6+1 w 4" barrel

alum frame, light and easy to shoot ,ate everything with no issues.3 more mags on the way as part of Springs rebate plan which is

nice. If your looking for a real US made 1911 for CCW that wont break the bank at 750-800 bucks

you may like this model, also comes with high viz front sight, paddle holster and mag pouch...

I am a fan of Springers 1911s and this one did not disappoint...

 :)

+1 to Springfields

I have a full size Range Officer and love it. The out-of-the-box accuracy and trigger pull is impressive.

so do i,I am not sure why they called the RO compact and RO at all they share zero

commonalitys.....The frame is alum, the sights are different ,the serrations on the slide are different and so is the trigger

But hey its still a cool 1911

Is that a Bull Bbl. on the RO Compact? I'm thinking seriously about getting one I sold a Full Size RO last year and still don't know why I did that it shot and functioned as well as all my $2000+ 1911's.

I may be in trouble...I have a weakness for commander and compact size 1911 pistols. I sure don't need another. But that hasn't stopped me in the past, and I doubt it will this time either.

Just have to recover from the last several purchases first.

Yes its a bull barrel ,my first actually and it uses a silly spacer tool to preload the spring so you can get it apart/assembled

but it works great once you figure it all out

Aside from not being too sure the SA RO 1911 variant is Made in the USA its still one I'd be interested in.

Really? What gives on this?

All springer 1911s are USA made now,the forged frames shipped in as raw forgigs  may be imported from Brazil but im not 100% certain on that

as fact or not.
