his and hers Ruger GP100 revolvers in 357 magnum

Triggers are smooth as silk on these two (after very light polishing of internals with mothers mag polish) and both have custom grip panels. They shoot great! Tried a bunch of different grips but keep coming back to the factory rubber ones. Would like to add a Smith to replace my model 19 nickel I foolishly sold though. But they are nice revolvers. One with darker grips I've had since 1992 and the lighter grips belong to a 2014 model.

thanks for looking!

Me and the missus have a pair as well. She has the 4 and I have the 6. Great guns...tough as nails. Congrats on yours.

Beautiful guns. An amazing pair actually. I'm kind of envious of  them.

I picked up a GP100 a couple of years ago when I stopped in a gun shop off I40 at the Carthage Exit.

A little place, but I'd been wanting to stop in anyway after several times going by it.

Anyway, not a huge selection of guns. More a store for accessories for the hunters and shooters. But in the case...I saw the GP. I'd passed one by a few months earlier, and this one was not getting away.

I talked with the owner a while, and got it for 430 otd.  I think I made a good buy.

It won't replace my 2 Smith 19s, but I really like it.

Thank you Sir! You got a great deal on a GP at $430!  Now maybe you need to trade one of your model 19's away for another GP. :)

Yes, I was very happy with the price. Needless to say it didn't start there. But for some reason, my negotiating skills seemed to work exceedingly well that day.

Or he just wanted to make a sale.

Now...about that crazy notion to trade a 19. You must be on some strong meds. lol

LOL! No meds yet but you hang on to those model 19's. I wish I had mine back.  :)

BEAUTIFUL shooting irons you got there!

I've made the opposite mistake... I still have my Smith 19, but sold my 6" GP years ago. :-( Either way, this simply confirms that getting rid of ANY gun is a terrible mistake and should never be repeated again!

Great looking pair.  I seem to be in the minority here in that I like the lighter grip inserts better but they both look great.  I will likely eventually look into custom inserts for my GP.  I have seen some pics of a GP with 'stag' inserts that looked nice and were kind of different.

Helluva thing.... Accurate, powerful, reliable, and full of death as a drug store... Makes me want to get my stainless plow handle sheriff back out again...

PS-- If ya are a reloader, try 13.5  grains of 2400 and anybodies 358 diameter hardcast SWC with standard primers and a heavy crimp... They shoot very well in all my 357's... They are accurate and plenty powerful...

Thanks for posting the great pictures...

Enjoy...
