Sam at Ashbrauners Gun and Pawn in Gallatin is as good as they get when it comes to gun smiths and his prices are very fair also. He is the one I use for all of my repair needs..................jmho

You can do it yourself with the appropriate sized flat wrench. Not terribly difficult and thoroughly educational.

I would but dont have the tools or a vise to lock the upper receiver in.

But if you do need a really good gunsmith, Sam Hoster is THE man to see. They don't come any better.

And if you go..take an extra gun. They have a nice little range behind the pawn area. Not great, but for 10 a day...you can't beat it. Edited August 26, 2014 by hipower

The Lebanon Gun Shop on Hartman Drive has a gunsmith on site. I've never employed him for any work, but have spoken with him, and he seems like a nice guy.

Yup, Ben Schade.  Good guy and a real-deal metal cutting and wood checkering gunsmith.  :up:
