Absolutely worth it. Terrible picture, but yeah I have one. To me, the KAK buffer tube is a must though edybyju7.jpg ETA: Yes, my OAL is 26.5" or greater, hopefully we don't have to go over this again.

YES, they make a short barreled weapon legal without the $200 stamp. It allows you to cross state lines(without permission), have a loaded "gun" in your vehicle, and if so inclined open/concealed carried. And, it is decently comfortable.

Absolutely worth it, unless you're actually gonna use it on your arm. Use KAK tube or similar to get longer LOP and a more vertical grip like Magpul K2 or MOE K2 grip, really improves ergonomics for a shorter LOP, much like on an AK.

There's a new model now too:

Totally worth it IMO. As KKing mentioned, a KAK or equivalent tube is a good idea to maximize the value. Terrible pic, but here's my ransom shot. It has a K2 grip on it now. Aside from being a bit too thin in profile I like it. I'm going to keep it on for now and see if it grows on me 100%. 21B109C7-A7B9-4C3B-AA31-6CC1A4C35A8F-712

What barrel length/FF tube length is that one? Also, how's the muzzle blast with that pig?

Love mine. :pleased:

I'm saving my pennies for an Aimpoint T1/H1 right now as this little sucker is simply begging for it.

I plan to pick up one for an AR pistol build (have the pieces and just haven't put them together yet) and put a 300 BLK upper on it as a "next year" project...Money, you know?

I really like Oh Shoot's concept and will model after that.

I have a Sig brace on the pistol I am building now. I have shot with one at the range a couple of times.
I am using the Phase 5 buffer, gives a 9" LOP.

It's a 7.5" barrel with a KAK flash can on it for a total of about 11" or so. Not legally as nothing's pinned/welded. The handguard is a 9" cheapo from amazon (stay away). It works but is far from good.

As to the blast I sadly can't say. Last range trip I brought it out to test and just never had the opportunity. Considering the flash can is basically a cylinder with a funnel shape opening up at the muzzle, I can see it possibly being fairly obnoxious. :D

What is the diff between the new and old versions?

Pretty much what you see, less bulk.

That one is mounted with folding adapter:

Law Tactical, these things really caught on in a hurry.

With DI you of course can't really shoot it folded though. Well, once. :)  But even then, it can damage the gizmo.

Soooo....we have a Sig brace....we have a Slide fire...both of which are legal, yet the good ole NFA is still alive and well...for what purpose? I grant you, these are "work arounds" but you (law makers) can't argue the fact that the function you are trying to prevent with the NFA has been circumvented and is now available....so why keep the law on the books? You don't see massive gun play in the streets with these items so the Feinsteins of the world have no basis of argument...B****.

True on many levels...but the NFA is a revenue generating tool. When ever has .gov relinquished a means generating revenue?

I wish the NFA would go the hell away too...just isn't likely in this day and age. :2cents:

And unfortunately the first time some nutcase uses an "assault pistol" to shoot up a school or his workplace then these may well also get moved to NFA status........

Oh and I have a Sig 556P with brace ...but I'm at work right now so can't post a pic.

Kinda why I haven't bought one yet. Once the ATF reverses themselves I have to toss it out, or at least keep it separate. Either way, wasted money.

I wonder how that would work with so many thousands if people being law breakers though.

That possibility exists TMF. Nullification through ignoring the law would be an incredible event, appropriate even...I simply can't afford to be a "test case".

So I'll probably pony up the tax...But hope it doesn't come to that.

After having and shooting one of the little suckers it's hard to "go back".

I doubt that they will change their stance, that would mean that their whole methodology would have to be examined since they say how a weapon is used does not change what the weapon is.  And they would face criticism (not that that makes much difference) from disabled shooters that may need that kind of device.  Also, there is a high chance that even if they do change their minds the ones out now will be grandfathered in.
