I just ran across this old comparison pic I took and wondered what everyone else might have.

Here are a .375 Remington Ultra Magnum, .223 Remington, and .22LR.

What are the smallest and largest cartridges you shoot?  Pics are encouraged.

i will skip pics as we all know what they look like.

My smallest to largest is .22 short and 30-06 Springfield.    The .22 shorties are only used sparingly in my Bearcat and the eldest grandsons Cub Mini Youth which he has outgrown.  I don't have many.  Dunno why I care to not shoot them at this point.

.22lr - .375 H&H Magnum.... and every now and again, I break out the 50 BMG.

I range from .22 lr to 30 caliber in different flavors of centerfire cartridges with arguably the 30-06 being the most powerful,  My largest would have to be the 12 gauge; unless you were only speaking of brass cased cartridges.

the smallest is 22, and I often shoot shorts these days in my revolvers as they are on the shelf at times when LR is not.

The largest I have in diameter is a 50-something caliber muzzle loader.  I don't shoot it.

The largest cartridge I have is a 45-70.  I don't shoot that either.

The largest I actually shoot is probably my 7.65 mauser, or a 308, they are extremely close in most dimensions.

Are you sure that's not a trash can next to the .17 HMR?

It's a trash can that smells like cordite.  :)

And technically it's neither mine, nor have I shot it.  I just thought its a funny picture.  A coworker brought it back with him from England (he's from there).  He got it from a relation that did shoot it.  It actually flew back in his luggage and it distinctly smells like cordite.

.22lr to .308

I'm not counting my semi-automatic .50 black powder. Somethings wrong with it, I can never get the 2nd round to chamber

I should add that I no longer have a 7.62x39, or the 45/70, but I did add a 308 MX, and a 50 cal muzzle loader, these bullets aren't  in the pic.

Getting slow in our old age, I can get the 2nd round in after a few mins.

Isn't it a 155 mm howitzer? Doesn't count anyway since the projectile is missing :)

The newer version is the 155mm, but it's a separate projectile and powder bag. I think the 105 is one of the largest standard brass cased rifle cartridges.

Nah, I just target practice with it since .22 is so hard to find...
