Got .22 for the first time since sandy hook

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I was at Sams club in hendersonville and they didn't have what I was looking for, so my wife suggested we go to walmart because it was closer than target. So we go in, she's looking around for stuff that surely didn't interest me so I said I would be back in the camping section. On my way there I stop and look for .22 because I haven't seen any in forever... Well I found a stock pile of federal bulk 550 packs. I was able to score 4 of them. I really couldn't be happier. I have a couple .22's I won't shoot because I don't want to use the little stock I have left for them. So now, I can shoot all 2,200 rounds and be completely content. I think I'm more so excited because my neighbor has a 11 year old daughter that wants to learn to shoot and I said she can learn on my P22 if I ever find ammo. Well, now we can finally teach her! Was just a good day yesterday.

On a side note. There was a guy that bought some behind us, brought it to his car and went back for more. Probablllly a skelper. Kinda irritated me. He knew what he was doing.

Also, a guy was behind my wife in line and asked if she was getting any 9mm and she said no, I'm getting some .22. His eyes lit up and he said "hold my spot, I'm going to get my wife!" Haha. Was hilarious. He was more than happy they had some.

There was 7-8 boxes and by the time we got ours, they were all gone. It's like the stars aligned and we finally got some. Probably won't see it for a long time agin, but so be it. I'm happy with what I have and figure it'll last me a while. Edited by 173rdABN

Congratulations. I actually found some here about a month ago, nice to get it at a descent price again.

I went for my weekly grocery shopping this morning, not getting there until around 8:00, and they still had a case of Remington 525 bulk pack.  Couldn't believe it was that late and still some available.

I was going through some of my ammo yesterday and opened up a partial box of .22 for no particular reason. After I closed it, I immediately opened it back up and stared at those little things in the box and thought "These things have caused more trouble than the Twinkiepalooza of 2013!".

They had 120 buckets of 1400 rounds today at Dicks in the 'boro. Golden Bullets. I understand they had several people waiting since 5:30 am to get some. I went in after lunch & got some 45's that were on sale. I didn't want to brave the opening bell just for some 22's.
