What's your thoughts on these? Trying to decide on one of these with the 21" barrel with screw in chokes or a Remy 870.Just for a truck gun, knock around gun. About $130 difference. Edited by jeff43

For the money, I don't think you can buy a better shotgun. If you're on a budget, or just don't want to spend the extra money on the 870, don't hesitate.

Yeah I know the 870 is a great shotgun, but for the Money difference thought I may get the H & R.I have several shotguns , so it's not my primary shotgun.Just gonna get se opinions.I also know that the H&R's are made in China , but what ain't these days. Lol

I've had no issues with mine, and my boss liked his enough that he bought a second one. They are well worth the money, in my opinion.

I have a Pardner Pump in 12 gauge.  IMHO it is superior to the 870 Express.  It's got a chrome bolt, walnut stock and metal trigger guard.

It's the made in China part that gets me. Just can't do it on a gun. Unamerican.

You do realize that several of the more affordable weapons and several defense contractors are not American? Glock(except some newer Gen 4's and 42's), Springfield XD/XDM/XDS, IWI, Sig Sauer, Beretta, H&K, FNH etc.. Hell Colt doesn't, and hasn't, made the barrels for the M16A4 and M4 family for some time, they've contracted out FNH, which they use the same barrel blanks as the M249 SAW. Springfield contracts several of their parts from Mexico for their 1911's but is that going to stop me from shooting their sweet pistols? Well... Cinco de Mayo amigo! Shooters want bang for buck but if you want to spend $3,000 on a 100% all American made Ed Brown by all means, they're awesome but you'll pay for that American manufacturing and customization.
