I am a right handed person, but due to medical events I am no longer able to shoot long guns right handed and want to start shooting long guns left handed, my right arm and hand still work its just I am no longer able to rest the stock of a weapon in my right shoulder. At the moment my long guns are a 10/22 and Mossberg 500.  I want to add an AR soon but would like to become comfortable shooting long guns left handed first. Besides going to the range and throwing lead downrange any tips?

Muscle memory and training your non dominant eye to focus on sights and target will be your greatest obstacle. I'm left handed, and aside from a muzzleloader with the hammer on the other side, I've never owned a left handed gun. I have installed a few ambi safeties however.

Yep, training you eye will the biggest thing to over come.

Maybe a patch over you right eye and shoot a bit.

Be sure to get one of these.
