I started out with a Remington 700 ADL in .222 that I never should have traded away and ended up with a 700BDL in 22/250, then the varmint hunting in my area dried up. I've also had the opputunity to shoot Ruger M-77 rifles in 220 Swift and .257 Roberts both of which I loved.

Ruger GSR in .223 is pretty much ask I have that could be considered a varmint gun.
I'm not a big coyote or Fox hunter, just pest control sound the farm as needed.

I like to shoot one of my .223 carbines to start out and then switch to a Vanguard in 22-250 when it starts to reach out a bit. I have a few friends that are really into shooting prairie dogs. A couple of them have built "oh my gosh" expensive rifles in 338 lapua but they are way better than I am. They really like to shoot at 1,000 and  beyond. I am no where good enough to shoot even near that distance..

Most of the guys that I know that shoot a lot carry 3-4 rifles to keep the heat out of the  barrel. Me, I can't really afford that so I just shoot slower.
