Are you from or have lived in Washington?

I didn't put "state" because from what I understand that the WA people do not refer to them as living in Washington state but just plain old Washington.

Ok, so I am looking for some info from anyone that might be from or has lived in WA in the last few years or visits often.

Mainly looking for info on the Tri Cities area, Spokane, Yakima,  Pullman and maybe on the other end of the spectrum Bellingham.

Please send me a PM if you would have time to chat with me over any of these places for a few min.

Thanks!

I've got family that just moved to Spokane a few weeks ago. if you want to chat when 'em, I'll ask if they're up for it. Dunno how much they could help, as they're rather new to the area.

I have a house in Spokane Valley. I was there in Survival in the USAF back in 71 and loved it. I plan on retiring there.

Does that help? Are you looking at moving there? Or just somewhere in the Pac NW?

Lowpower,

I remember while they were redoing our barracks we were in the survival barracks. Those guys were nuts, jumping out of the second floor hollaring survival. I was there from 78 to 81

Used to run from Fairchild around to school and back twice a day, coming and going for the day.

Any in fraction meant drop and give me 20 4 counts...when you stood up: SURVIVAL!

We kinda thought the PR guys were a bunch pansies.

Temps down to -20 in the mountains at night. Cold didn't begin to describe it. But only on fire guard or

when you first get up in the AM walk to the fire to thaw out your bunny boots. It's real comfy with a

mountain bag stuffed inside an arctic laying to pine boughs. Just strip down to your long johns, take yer

clothes into the bag with you and call it a night.

Wonderful if you really love the great outdoors and plan on retiring to a Forest Ranger job although

today you could start your own zombie survival school since there's so many fanatics out there that

thinks the world is ending. They're ripe for paying high dollars to learn.

I think I still have a copy of the survival manual around somewhere.

I've lived in Seattle and Port Townsend (on the peninsula) and am familiar with Bellingham. (All of this was many many moons ago so my info may be outdated). It's pretty but you'll be happier on the east side of the cascades. They call it the left coast for a reason.

we just moved (3 years ago) from north of Seattle. spent 14 years there and my wife spent her entire life there. I'm more familiar with the North of Seattle area, which would include Bellingham, but I am a bit familiar with the Tri-Cities area as well. My email is in my profile if you need to drop me a line with questions.  Ed
