Pakistan scam

It must be telephone scam week. I received a call from a man who sounded like he was Indian or Pakistani,
He claimed that he was with Microsoft tech support and that my computer had been infected by a special virus that only he could fix.
He wanted me to go to Some site and describe what I saw and enter some code.
After describing things w animals and a homicide he informed me that everything would be ok and for 200 dollars he could fix my computer over the telephone.
I worked on this guy for over 10 minutes and tried so hard to keep from laughing. It was so bad that I will probably send it off to the Howard Stern show because it was that priceless. On a more considerate note if anyone gets a phone call from anyone claiming to be from Microsoft tech-support be where it is a scam.... I could not believe they stayed on the phone as long as they did . Enjoy

My wife was home when a woman called yesterday informing her that "my name"'s computer was infected with a special virus.  They actually knew my personal name, which was very weird.  Also, caller id showed the area code as 000.  I believe my wife said the caller had a foreign accent.  Of course my wife sniffed this out as a scam!  Whew......

I just got the same call. Sounded Indian to me. I don't have the ability to record it but my 8 year old son was cracking up in the back ground as I went from Tagolog, Korean and some Malay on my new Indian friend. LOL

Yep. Been getting those for the last 5-6 months. Sounds like the voice you described. And the caller is adamant that my computer is sending a message to Microsoft that it is badly in need of help. I usually just yell at him for a couple of minutes and then hang up when he ties to tell me what he can do for me.
