Gun Transfer Fees

Hi,

I live in Memphis, and I've found a gun online I would like to order from out of state. I need to find a local gun shop to receive the gun for me.

I've checked with Guns & Ammo and Range USA, but their fees seem exorbitant. They wanted $100 and $50 respectively. I've been told that a typical fee is $25.

Can anyone recommend a reputable gun shop in or near Memphis that charges more reasonable transfer fees?

They want you to buy from them. Check out the local pawn shops. You may find a good deal at one of them. I have one here that only charges $10 for everything. I know, I know, I'm lucky.

I've only bought one gun that needed a transfer and I paid $20. The gun was bought from a dealer in MO and there was no tax involved here. All he was doing was receiving the gun and the BG check before turning it over to me.
