I get that. I used to start with did you turn the box on, No, not the screen, the box.... In this case though, given the age of the PC I would bet on a faulty monitor or video card. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

 

Very well could be, right now we don't have enough detail to narrow it down to anything.

If you monitor has a degauss function in its menu try that.

Maybe a graphics card problem? Update the video driver?? Is it a VGA cable to the monitor? Are you low on RAM? Do you need to free up some space on the hard drive? Just some areas I would look into

I'm also having problems with my printer, seems I can't scan or copy anything for some strange reason.

Well my computer has been okay for the last week or so, all I did was run spyware scan, deleted some programs I never use, ran the CC Cleaner and cleaned "FREE SPACE" whatever that does, I know it takes 2 hours to clean.
I'm trying to get my brother to come over so he can show me some more junk to delete to free up a little memory, he's fairly good at that, knowing what and what not to un-install.
