Anyone have Millennium Deer Stands?

Recommended Posts

I am going to buy buying a couple Lock On Tree Stands.  I have been looking at the Millennium M150 Monster and the Muddy's Outdoors Hunter models.  The Millennium looks super comfortable, but I have watched a few videos, and the the lower portion of the stand that contacts the tree is so narrow, and when this guy (and a few other reviewers) stand up on it, its looks so shaky!

Does anyone own the Millennium stands and can let me know if the platform is shaky?  I shake enough as it is when a deer walks up, I don't want that thing to throw me off if I try to stand up.  Thanks

I think the newer ones come with a second strap towards the bottom helping to stabilize it, but that little metal piece is still awfully narrow.  For what its worth, I haven't ready anyone complain about it being shaky, but I'm definitely leaning towards the Muddy's now because of it.  We shall see, maybe I'll buy both and just see for myself.

I've never used a millennium, but I agree that it needs a strap or two to stabilize it. I carry 2 ratchet straps that I got from TSC in my backpack whenever I use my Summitt Viper climbing stand. As soon as I get it where I want, I strap each piece tight to the tree. I know it won't fall without the strap, but I don't like any wiggle at all.
