Glock frame upgrade

I know Glock used to upgrade 2nd gen frames to 3rd, anyone know if they still do this? What the cost? I've got a second gen 19 that I got cheap that was a police trade and had had some trigger guard wirk done. It is fine the way it is, but thought if it wasn't too expensive I might get a rail for it.

I'm sure that Glock would do it. Dunno how much, but a few months ago Centerfire was selling gen 2 Glock 22s with gen 3 frames for $300. That being said, you could probably find someone to trade you a gen 3 for a gen 2. I sure would if I had a gen 3 g19..in other words, you can get new Glocks with rails. The Glocks without rails aren't being made anymore.

I am almost for certain it is a $150 to upgrade to a 3rd gen, 3 pin frame. You will have mismatched serials though.

This is a good idea. No doubt, there are folks out there that want a G19 Gen2. I only buy the gen2's myself.
