Handgunlaw.US needs our support

I know most of us have benefitted from using this website in the past. I have used it exclusively for several years when traveling.

Here is the message on their website.

Owning a website such as www.handgunlaw.us is both a blessing and a curse.

It's a blessing as we are able to share information worldwide regarding firearms law, as those laws change. We're very proud of our history since 2006, and the fact that we've been able to help keep millions of site visitors both safe and legal with accurate and up-to-date changes - almost as they occur.

It is a curse because of the changes in the leadership of our great country, as the administration's anti-firearm agenda is further pursued, once again our servers have been overwhelmed with traffic. This has again started causing over-bandwidth or bandwidth limit exceeded messages to our visitors, instead of their being able to access the information. We are now transferring an average of 11 gigs of data per day.

In conversations with our web hosting company, it appears the only way to fix this is to upgrade our account. The upgrade is significant this time.

Frankly, I need help off-setting these increasing expenses. I've long said no one besides Gary and I have any interest in www.handgunlaw.us but it has reached a point that I have to open a donation fund to cover these added expenses.

Your donations are appreciated. However, they are not tax-deductable. I considered filing for exempt status [501(c3)] but to do so I would have to register the site as a corporation - more money for no gain.

This is horrible financial timing for me but I'm going to throw a few bucks their way.

And no, I'm not affiliated with these guys at all.

This is definitely my goto site for interstate travel. I'm curious though if there is a more efficient means to display the info besides PDF? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Somebody should suggest cloudflare.com to them...  it's free, and it will cut their bandwidth usage in half if not more.  It will also speed the site up.  But, then again 11gigs of data a day isn't that much ;)

I really hope folks will help.  That's a valuable resource and we need to ban together in cases like this and show them some support.
