Prvi Partizan 308 ??

Is this stuff any good? I was thinking of buying some because it seems to be more available than others.

But I was reading a thread today on another forum about a problem with a rifle and it turned into ammo bashing with someone claiming the person picked the cheapest stuff they could find and expect their rifle to run; it was Prvi Partizan.

I’m asking about the brass case.

All the Lake City I see in 308 for sale is pull downs. Is there no decent 308 brass ammo at a decent price?

Generally, Prvi is good ammo.  I don't own a .308 but have a couple of boxes of Prvi for when I know I'll have the chance to shoot one.  Have used it in  a couple of M1A's and it worked fine with no problems.

My experience is with this stuff....http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=AP308FMJ145&name=Prvi+Partizan+.308+FMJ+145grn+20rd+White+Box&groupid=26

I've shot some of this in 147g thru my M&P10.It shot okay but I had alot of the case necks split when casing was ejected. Usually around 3 out of 10 casings. Ammo was accurate 2" out to 100 yds.

Shot some of the handgun ammo in the past. Worked good, but I wasn't focused on reloading, so can't really comment on the condition of the brass afterward.

I've not run any .308 privi but have run .45, 9mm and quite a bit of .223 and have not had any issues at all. The brass reloads very well too.

Do you remember what year brass it was that was getting split necks, Ishel? I'm only curious because in my own and several friend's experiences it has been great brass. Privi does an excellent job of annealing their mil-spec brass but I can't remember if their commercial offerings are annealed or not. Just wondering if there's a certain year that I need to swing wide of?

I've had good luck with Privi. I use their .375 H&H for practice rounds and I've hunted w/ the .308 in soft point.

Never had any problem's with it.

I've run some 168 gr hollow point thru my Remington 700 police model over the years. Not as accurate as Federal Gold Medal Match but it's pretty decent stuff.

Great stuff.  I've put 3k plus some through the my AR.  Have tons of PPU 9, .40, and .45.  Never had any issues.

Whenever possible I'll buy PPU before anything else.
