Lower to go with new upper?

Recommended Posts

Are you wanting a complete or stripped lower (to build your own)?

I have an Anderson lower and a New Frontier Armory lower, both stripped. The New Frontier Armory is much better quality. I've been looking at TN Armory lowers lately, as I've been rethinking one of my builds: http://www.tnarmsco.com/receivers/

If you look into tn arms lowers, just keep in mind for the "ghost" lower: "This receiver is only intended as a teaching tool and for product showcase. If regular hard use is intended please purchase one of our Fiber-Reinforced Nylon models."

Building is super easy. I used a YouTube video and it took me 45 minutes my first try. That was taking it slow and cleaning grease off the parts as I went. There are a few tools involved you may or may not have. You'll need a decent set if punches($71-$12 @harbor freight), a lower receiver block was handy, but I think you cold do it without it($12-$20 amazon), decently long screwdriver/allen wrench for the grip, and an ar armorers wrench. A box cutter blade, some decently durable tape, and a large ziplock bag all proved immensely helpful.

I'd call D&T arms first thing. I'd be willing to bet if they have any lowers in at all they will make them worth your drive.
