Just curious, but were original C&R SKSs ilegalized during the first AWV? would they be included in a new AWB were it to happen? Remember, original, not sporterized

No telling. No guarantee the 'new' ban would be identical to the 'old' ban. Some phrases I've heard were 'any weapon designed for, or used by, any military'. Obama is rabidly anti-gun, believes that even self-defense inside your home with a gun should be verboten. Biden, of course, wrote the original AWB.

^^^yup. so even an SKS with C&R status, a curio or relic milsurp gun, should be illegal in their minds. nonsense i tell you. i hope that doesn't also include garands and related guns, i'm really starting to regret selling mine. time for another sks too, i guess.

Being SCOTUS ruled against DC banning a certain type of firearm, Hopefully the same ruling would apply to an AWB as they would be trying to ban a certain type of firearm.

Can't remember about the past ban, in regards to the SKS, but I know the new proposal would ban them. Pretty much all "assault" rifles, imports or not, would get the axe. The new Bill has been posted here and linked before. I think I even linked it at one time. I'll try searching as soon as I finish shoving this pizza down my throat.

Bottom line, they learned from their past mistakes. This time around they're being much more vindictive.

And poss. be like in many countries where you can keep what you have, but cant sell or buy any. But you could will them to your heirs, and in such a case none of them will be worth anything!
