Keep getting the SAME survey spammer calling my phone!

This is getting out of hand. The SAME woman has been calling my phone at least 20 times every day. She just called 11 times in the last 15mins. I will answer it sometimes, and sometimes I will ignore it. Her name is Kristy, she claims to be from a NY company called Medi-Biotech, and I think she learned English yesterday. She wants to know if I have chronic pain and if I will do a survey. I told her I had a chronic pain in my rear, and it's name is Kristy... She didn't get it. I talked to her forever this morning just messing with her. I know her by name now. Was funny at first. Now I'm really annoyed.

Any suggestions? I have already tried the wasting her time trick. I even let her talk to my wife for a while, and she STILL calls back, lol. It's like Groundhog Day because each time she calls it's like she never talked to me before!

Number comes up as 33849943 or Unavailable. Any one else get a call like this? Edited by Batman

Fill out the survey and at the end there is a question are you happy with Obama, say no and they won't ever call back.  I haven't got once since I did that at least.

Tell her that you will be filing a complaint with the Federal Communications Commision if she does not cease what is becoming harassment. If she calls again, do it:

Usually, just the thought of filing a complaint will keep people from calling you back.

Edit, reread OP, you already know the company name.

Tried doing the survey. She called back with the same song and dance.

Ask her for the company/entity name, then tell her that you will be filing a complaint with the Federal Communications Commision if she does not cease what is becoming harassment. If she calls again, do it:

Thanks. I threatened to file a complaint... She hung up... She called back 2 minutes later. I just wasn't sure exactly where to file the complaint, but that's what I'm about to do.

Air horn.

I was at the range when she called a couple of times today. I didn't answer, but now I realize I missed a golden opportunity. Next time... ;) Edited by Batman

It may not be in your nature, but scream and throw a fit! Act like a psychotic maniac over the phone. Scream, yell, curse if you have no moral objection. Don't use threatening language, since folks can be sued for anything in this day and age. See if that works.

Start answering her calls "Hello, (nonsensical business name here) Would you like to take a brief survey?" Before she can answer just start asking her random questions.

"On a scale from 1-10, how handsome do I sound?"

"On a scale from 1-3, with three being higher than one, and one being of course lower than two, how much is the annual rainfall in your region compared to the national average?"

"Would it be safe to say sir (always call her sir) that you average between 0-37 alcoholic beverages per evening?"

"And lastly sir, what is the best number and time for us to contact you at home regarding your survey performance?"

I did put my number on the national "Do Not Call List" and haven't had a call lately. But that will change soon as election season is in full swing.

If you have phone service through an internet provider, you can block a certain number of phone numbers. That's what I had to do to stop the "We're calling you back about that insurance quote you requested" baloney.

start breathing heavy and ask her what color her panties are.

This is my standard go to…for both guys and girls  The reactions can be pretty funny.

I'd talk to someone at your phone service provider. You should be able to block the calls.

It's verizon. I called them yesterday. He said they cannot block it because all 10 digits don't show up. He said he could block all "Unavailable" numbers, but I need to receive those from time to time. So far no calls today, so maybe she has moved on, lol.

Although, after Photoguys's suggestion, I'm kind of waiting for her to call now, haha Edited by Batman

I don't understand what the upside could be to calling that often. Who would pay someone to be that inefficient? Where's the pay-off?

And many years ago I got a call from some salesperson while I was on the back deck plinking with a .243.  After a few minutes of annoyance I let a round go and pretended to have shot myself. The person on the other end coulda cared less. Didn't even stop their sales pitch.

Also since I registered on the Do NOT Call list years ago, I get very few disturbing calls.

The creepy phone sex is always the best one.......they might even block themselves for you!

I had a collections guy call many times looking for the prior holder of my land line number.  Both the collections guy whoever he was looking for appeared to be real schmucks.  We got calls from the guy's kid's doctors to discuss test results and medications, calls from the schools to say the kid wasn't there that day, ... all sorts of stuff.  The collections guy called a bunch of times over the course of several years.  After telling them repeatedly that they had the wrong number, my typical method was to just stick the phone in a drawer and leave it there for a while.  After the collections guy left a series of increasingly nasty and threatening voicemails, I finally called back one day and we had a little chat.  Never heard from them again.

I used to hand all junk calls off to my 3 year old..  He knew enough words to keep them talking (sometimes for a very long time), but nothing coherent enough to give them any info.  He loved the attention, and they rarely called twice.

Since the 'Do Not Call List' doesn't apply to campaigns, I'm surprised you aren't getting some now.  The state and federal primaries are more contended than the general elections in Tennessee.  Robocall or volunteer call, campaigns are calling now that early voting is open.

Campaigns use the number on your voter registration (which is a public record any party can get) when they call, so if you have an old number on there, that may explain it.
