Good bad or ugly on Berretta PX4 Strom compact or sub compact?

Just wanting to get some opinions on it from those who have shot and owned one. I am planning on making it my carry gun. Thanks for the help.

I actually really like the gun. It's unique but not in a bad way. The trigger pull is long buts smooth, it has an external safety that is easily manipulated. I'd say the biggest Con is it's thickness. It's a fatty for sure. I got mine used at a really good price point so I consider it a good value gun for sure.

I had one and really liked it, but it had an annoying trigger-pull squeak that no amount of lubrication anywhere could get rid of..  (Even the Beretta Rep I showed it to at a gunshow was stumped.)  I finally traded it.

It is a very cool looking gun.  It's accurate enough, and I never had any problems (other than the squeak).  I found it a little thick for concealed carry, but that may not bother you.  Only real issue I had was finding a good holster - I used something generic until I eventually made a leather one for it.

My wife really likes Beretta stuff so she picked up a sub compact when they were new.  She carried it for a while until she found something else she liked and gave it to me to put back in the safe.  I've carried the PX Storm a lot but as JPS mentioned it's a little thick so sometimes in the summer a tighter fitting T-Shirt may reveal you are carrying.   When I complained about this to my wife she decided the best way to fix that problem was by buying me a Beretta Nano.  So depending on how I'm dressed I'll either carry the PX Storm Subcompact or the Nano or sometimes something else that raises it's hand when I ask which gun want's to go on a field trip. :)

Not gonna look up specs again, but think it's about exactly same as XD Subcompact. Which, yeah, is pretty chunky, but that extra round capacity compared to single stack is mighty comforting.

In my rather humble opinion a CX4 set up with the DOA trigger is an excellent pistol to consider purchasing. Pluses are price, magazine availability, quality and ergonomics. It just feels good in your hand and is in the Glock 19 M&P 9 size range. If you've ever owned a 92 FS or trained with one transition to the CX 4 is dirt simple.

I own the compact and have carried it in the winter time. Nice shooter but I can hide my P238 easier.

I've had no problems and also shot the sub-compact that has the rotating barrel which I actually liked better but found a deal on this one.
