James Garner - Dies at 86

Just heard that James Garner passed away today. I loved watching reruns of Rockford Files. I went on a Safety Patrol trip to Washington DC when I was in 5th grade, and caught a glimpse of him in the White House, filming for something.

 

Gonna miss him.

Grew up with Maverick. Garner was one of my life long faves. A rare actor who can play his real age in various genres for over 50 years, and a likeable guy in every one.

James Garner has always been one of my favorite actors. I don't believe I've ever seen a bad performance from him.

 

Aside from being a genuine, well like actor, he was a true "Southern gentleman" at heart and in his actions. I don't care if he was an Okie by birth.

 

His like will not be seen again.

 

Rest in Peace. Know that you brought smiles and pleasure to anyone who saw you.
