Since you already got your answer, I'm going to hijack your thread for a quick second.

I found this definition on Urban Dictionary.

Hollowpoint bullets are bullets used in firearms like pistols.

They are sharp, causing the bullet to blow up when hitting the

target, causing maximal damage. Hollowpoint bullet easily

takes someone's head off. Hollowpoint bullets are illegal in

most countries for civilian people.

I should have said any self respecting state... sorry.

HAHAHAHAHA! Quote of the day man!

I am kind of curious as well about which states ban HP's. My guess would be the lib states like CA, NY, NJ, etc... basicly the states that got to pick the GOP nominee.

So are there laws about what weapons are acceptable to have while commiting a crime? I can see someguy calling up the Police and asking what type of ammo and firearm he can use when he robs the bank later. HAHA!

There are several types of certain a.p. european 9mm that is oulawed,as well as the much bad-mouthed cop killer teflon bullets as well as any type of exploding bullets! These are almost imp. to find, however back in around 98 or so due to the brady hell-raisers about h.p. handgun ,Federal did come out with a h.p. which technically isnt a h.p. since it looks like a f.m.j. but it contins a piece of plastic which upon impact instantly turns it into an exp. h.p. and all tests showed it works just as well!

Just remembered i bought about 5 boxes of it in both 9mm and 5 box. in 40sw.This ammo also solved a major problem for those wanting a good h.p. for their mil surplus guns, since most of those are quite un-reliable with h.p.s since they were never designed for such. Dont remember exactly what they are called or havent seen or looked for any since then, but they were the rave of the day when they first came out. I will have to see about digging those out from the bottem of my shtf

pile! Who knows they might be valuable coll. items like the old black talons, last time i saw those they were going for 59.99 a box of 20 at a show.
