Anyone drop by Armslist lately?

I looked in there today and found some dealer posting page after page of sales items and he's located over 90 miles from our area.

It won't be long before the dealers take over armslist like they did ebay.

An easy fix for them would be what craigslist did...allow you to filter between private parties and dealers.

Like the Facebook Middle TN firearms sell/trade pages have Colorado and Louisiana sales all over them today.
I gave up on Armslist a year ago.

I just figured out to sort it but it has turned from a nice place to have a look at guns and things to a dealership sales

website even though all these dealers already have their own websites. Now all you see is the shotgun barrel guy, these bozo's

or bullet hoarding dudes. If they can't sell on their own website what makes them think they will do it on someone else's?

I know I sure as hell won't buy for any of these bozo's.

I didn't know this existed, thanks for mentioning it.

The big name free sites always get spam and over priced stuff, because it's free and easy for the sellers to post it so why not throw a bunch of ads out there? That's why I like TGO, because people are generally more reasonable when they have to pay to advertise, and where anonymity is lost, their reputation is known.

Armslist is loaded with price gougers..I have better luck on Facebook and I get to see

Armslist has been good to me as a buyer and seller. Sucks weeding through dealer spam but I guess it's just a necessary evil the list needs to subsidize its existence.... I use the filters to help partition the sludge.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.

I enjoy surfing Armslist. Even when I might not in the market, eventually I see good deals, normally not in my area, but there are some bargains out there. I have noticed an increase in dealer ads and "white noise".

I have also had good luck buying and selling on there. I like doing business with TGO family when possible, but Armslist does get the ad out to folks who may not be members here.

I do chuckle at the rants from time to time from folks complaining about fuzzy photos, people wanting to trade a goat for your new AR and boot from you, ridiculous prices on used guns, and whether or not a never been shot gun is still new, etc. One guy actually had a three part series of rant ads over a few days that was actually pretty entertaining...

hipower, how? lowpower...   :)

Poor explanation coming here....

1 Open Armslist
2 Pick state listings if it is offered
3 On the left side of the page, there is a heading REFINE Search--under it, check the box you wish to search for--Weapons, ammo, etc.
4 That should bring up the list of Private Party or Dealer sales--pich what you want again, usually Private party for me
5 The page will change automatically when you check a box, when the next page comes up, you have another filter choice--handguns/rifles, etc. check one of those boxes
6That should bring up the caliber choices next

Anyway, I think I have those in order. But it's pretty simple when you figure it out. But a real pain till you do.

?? I sell on eBay some, dealers there have had no say about it. :)

But seriously, anyone reselling new merchandise is a "dealer". What do you have against the ones who succeed there?

Any number of businesses make a living selling used stuff on there too.
