A Glock NOT work???

I'd have to believe the monarch steel case ammo was the problem, not the Glock.  The only Glock I have has been very reliable.

Silly glock fanboys.... I've had a glock break in Afghanistan on me as well as my team leaders a week prior to mine. And my brand new glock 19 has a bad issue with the slide going all the way forward, which as of right now won't let me run suppressed. But I am determined to fix it and make it work.

Most likely ammo related, but also his grip is inconsistent. Look at his thumbs. When it fails, the thumb on his right hand is rotated down like it is making contact with the slide/side of the gun which could slow the slide. Not saying Glocks are perfect as the marketers would have you believe, but they do tend to work better than most other firearms out there.

They break or malfunction just like any other modern gun.

Stoppages among modern, mainstream manufacture autos with decent ammo and factory mags are pretty darn rare.

Nobody ever said they are invincible, they just beat any other handgun out there;)

I own a glock but only one as I have an immunity to glockitis.  I can't say they are better than any of my other pistols, just another tool.  That said, some tools are more useful than others.

His grip looks weird

He's definitely not shooting it right.

I've seen guys at the range have similar issues. Usually they either have their thumb on the slide stop or the slide itself. Can't say for certain but it appears he is doing this.

That is a standard thumbs forward grip........he does have his support index finger on front of the trigger guard which I personally don't like.  But some of the best shooters in the country use this method at times.  Hey, he is shooting cheap, steel-case ammo.  What do you expect.  Very doubtful that his grip is the issue.

He does change his grip significantly on the second malfunction to where his thumbs are almost pointing straight up toward the sky. Odd that he would go from a strong, thumbs forward grip through the first mag and then change it up through the second mag. If you're a believer in "limp wristing" causing malfunctions there could be some of that involved as well (seems so to my very untrained eye). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sure seems like he's letting the muzzle climb up on him a lot, especially for 9mm. Why does he slow his timing down on the second magazine and let the muzzle climb even more? Edited by KKing

chances R- I understand the thumbs forward grip and that's how I shoot. However I have seen some ride their thumbs a little too high and press in making contact with the slide or slide stop. I thought this might be the issue, though it could be the ammo, a bad weapon, or limp wristing.

jarhead seems more skilled at making videos than shooting a pistol

Most would have looked at ammo and other factors before blaming the pistol.

Yes, and it could be any of those factors.  IMO, and from others that I have trained with, the thumbs should NOT be pressing against the frame with the proper grip.  Thumbs should be relaxed.  I have seen shooters push the slide stop partially out with such pressure.  Of course that causes a stoppage of the 1911.

To me it's obvious he was TRYING to get it to malfunction. The first mag worked fine so he probably switched to a weak grip and let the gun rise a little more trying to induce a limp wrist without it looking like a limp wrist. If it takes all that AND cheap ammo to get it to happen I'd say a Glock isn't a bad gun. It's no M&P though.
