Idaho Universities gearing up for guns on campus bill

BOISE -- Colleges and universities around the state are gearing up for a big change in just three weeks.

The guns on campus law will go into effect on July 1.

The law passed this spring, which means that retired officers and those with an enhanced carry permit can carry guns on some parts of campus.

In Idaho you can get a Concealed Wepons License without a class, you have to take a class to get the Enhanced.

10% of the population of Boise is Boise State University, and they don’t have a Campus Police Department that carries guns? I find that odd, I wonder if Boise PD handles the calls on campus.
