Returning to Florida

Well tomorrow is the big day! I am moving back to Florida. My parents are entering their upper 80's and starting to have more medical issues. Da d is 87 and just finished chemo treatments for lung cancer. I found at yesterday he was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia but is doing pretty well.

I had applied for a job transfer in there area. Normally it takes 6-8 months to even begin the process. I figured that would work out well time wise for my son who will be a senior this year. My transfer was accepted and approved in seven days! So, I'm going wife and son will be here for another year.

Long story short, I have enjoyed meeting and trading with some of you, and enjoyed the comaraderie of this sight. I fully intend to continue causing trouble on here even if it is long distance.

Best wishes for you in the move. I heartily support you as a Great Man for unselfishly moving to help care for your parents. I really hope your wife and son appreciate you, as this is quite a sacrifice; not just in moving, but leaving them behind for a year.

 

I have faith that you are absolutely doing the right thing. God's Blessings on you for this.

I think it's great that you can move close to your parents. Cherish every single moment you have with them. Hope the move goes smoothly for you and that the job transfer works out to your liking.

Made it safely. Boy are there a lot of idiots on the highway between Knoxville and South Florida!

It is good to be close to family when you can, life is short and seemingly quick, good on ya! Hopefully they don't vote Christ back in, He'll make that state fall of the good places to live list. Best of luck!
