Coming in August to The Ridge Shooting Range in Dayton TN Suarez International Rifle Gunfighting II

 RGF-2: RIFLE GUNFIGHTING II

August 16-17, 2014

Price : $350

Dayton, Tennessee

Instructor: Randy Harris

Rifle confrontations worldwide rarely exceed 50 yards. Rather than a long range marksman's weapon, our research shows the rifle will most likely be used just outside the reach of more conventional weapons, as well as within these closer intervals of confrontation.

This course will take the student quickly through the basics and impart the techniques necessary to deploy the Tactical Rifle, Civilian Carbine, or Submachine gun in a close interval emergency. This course is highly recommended for civilian defenders, military personnel, or police operators (we make no distinction in the material presented).

DURATION: 2 days

TIME: 8:30AM to 4:30PM

AMMUNITION: Approximately 500 rounds (Minimum) and 50 rounds of pistol ammunition

YOU NEED TO BRING:

Spare clothing appropriate to the weather. Lunch, snacks and water (minimum of 1 gallon per person) for the entire day. Baseball or other style hat, sun screen, bug repellent, allergy medication (if needed), chair (if you have a problem with sitting on the ground, note taking paper/pen/pencil and a boo boo kit (band aids, gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, antibiotic ointment and tape).

REQUIREMENTS:

Rifle (any action or caliber suitable for use within 50 yards), all weapons must be equipped with a sling, also bring a pistol with at least (2) magazines, a belt, holster, magazine pouches, rifle ammo pouches, and ear & eye protection (knee and elbow pads are strongly suggested).

This one is getting closer. This one is taking place at "The Ridge" in scenic Dayton Tennessee, just a short drive from Chattanooga. More info on the facility can be found here.... http://theridgeshooting.com/

I have been getting questions regarding equipment. You will need a functional rifle and at least 3 magazines for it (preferably 4). As to gear, a chest rig, battle belt, bag to carry magazines, or just carrying them in your pockets is OK. If you have a rig that already works for you then bring it....if not then this is a good opportunity to experiment and see what does work for you. We have people come to class from different backgrounds. We might have LE guys in duty gear, military types in helmet and body armor , civilians in helmet and body armor , or civilians with a simple bag to carry mags in. Whatever YOU would really use is what YOU should bring.

Our one "rule" is that we do not allow IWB concealment holsters in combination with chest rigs for safety reasons. Concealment holsters are designed to hid the firearm, not to be used in conjunction with a rig that places items right above the holster making the gun hard to get to, and hard to draw. As such we do not allow IWB holsters with chest rigs. If you have a question about your particular setup feel free to PM me here and we can get you taken care of.

Looking forward to this one!
