I didn't understand a single word in those videos...LOL
in the first video it sure didn't have much of a muzzle blast or much recoil for a 50 cal style rifle..

It looked to be sitting in a support of sorts. Probably clamped or fastened in.

Something I just noticed in the second video is the cover that covers the cutout for when the bolt handle comes back. That is something really neat and have never seen before in a bolt gun. I assume it is because of all the sand and dust.

I watched the first video again and they may have been firing blanks or making a propaganda video.

I think you are correct about the blanks, I was thinking the same thing when the guy was shooting off the berm.  There is zero recoil when he shoots.

I'm not seeing any more of a locking mechanism than the bolt handle (much like old bolt action shotguns).  Somehow I doubt that is going to hold back the pressure and bolt thrust of a large caliber rifle cartridge.  This is either a propaganda video or we're going to see some new vids of a haji having a homemade bolt blasted through his face while his fellow apes scream "allah snackbar"

Extremely low dust signature too, do that same shot with a 50BMG and you got a duststorm

Check out this steam punk inspired artillery piece by the Syrians. I LOL'd at this one. Check out the muzzle brake!!!

Nice protractor on the side.  Do they use an abacus to cipher up ranges?

I think the proper way they do it is aim it in the general direction of the enemy, yell at the top of their lungs "Allah Ackbar" and then fire.

So you guys think they're firing blanks or the gun is a fake propaganda piece?

What about the brake design? Could it be that good?

My AR50-A1B brake is darn good!

Concrete:

Slippery plastic camping table - might have moved an inch:

On the ground from prone, it won't move.

Double Dog dare you to fire it with out a brake...and post a video....LOL

in my Barrett manual it states it would increase recoil by 75% (if I recall) and void my warranty..

Not happening! :surrender:

Your M82A1 might be 75% increase without brake, but your barrel to receiver also has a recoil buffer (if that's what you call it) where mine does not. So I assume, my gun would recoil a tad more.

The buffer spring looks more like a garage door spring extended, I might not be using the correct technical term but the bolt weights maybe 5+lbs and it doesn't have locking lugs like a AR, so I'm guessing I'll refer to it as a blowback..so I don't know who's would be worst....

this video never gets old, especially the second shooter, I just luv it

It's referred to as a bolt-action.  Blowback is a type of semi-auto operation.

I love this thread!

You can take our guns but you'll never take our machine shops and protractors!

Anybody who has been overseas and had a local cell phone knows how often you get a wrong number call from the locals. I was over a few years after Team America, while it was still popular, came out so anytime I got a wrong number I would answer with "Derka, Derka" and if they said anything I followed up with "Mohammed Jihad" and based upon their tone they did not appreciate it. But if they continued to try to talk to me I would continue making up variations of the sayings and throw in a few Allah Ackbars just for good measure. My team mates would be rolling.

Yup! So long as you can get a good barrel, you can build the rest with a good machine shop!
