Sense of Urgency?

Does anyone else feel a sense of urgency to purchase your NFA items on your wishlist? I have been watching the news this last week and it appears as if the US & the world is falling apart, and a potential Uber-Liberal taking charge of the US. Now this could be attributed to the left-leaning media bias, but FoxNews doesn't depict the news as good either. (Current location- Kabul, Afghanistan)

With a few priority adjustments, I have lined up my SBR lower with Joe at Hero Gear. I don't want to be left out if the poll predictions come true. Call me paranoid, but I can't be the only one out there feeling this.

(With any luck, I might have a great XMAS);)

Are you saying you think The Obamination will try to take away our second amandment rights? He has promised us he only wants to take the evil guns off the streets. After all, it's for the children.

Only if you like being chicken little. ;)

Have a few friends in the political arena and have being speaking with them and they and firmly entrenched in the thought that if he does win, the focus will be on the economy, his entitlement errrr social(ist) programs and other more pressing items.

Given the likelihood that whomever is elected is one-termer, then I would not go on a buying frenzy just yet. Plan, purchase and move forward and keep your ear to the proverbial ground. Any changes he proposes will be in the national spotlight and you will have reaction time.

Just my $.02, but I trust the people telling me this. :D

I would say NFA sales are up around 400% over last year.

People that always said "I sure would like to have one of those someday...." are now saying "Im going get it now, while I know I can...."

We seem to be selling suppressors and SBR/SBS at an amazing rate!

*Dan initiated 8 Form 4s yesterday!

(5 suppressors, 3 SBR)

I am limited to FoxNews, Al Jezeera, and CNN here , when the satelite is working. When I watch Obama's Field & Stream interview, or watch a video of kids singing and another of them chanting, or watch his smug smile at the debates, I get worried. I worry that uneducated people are voting based on lies or popularity, and not on facts. We have seen this in the past: Hilter, Castro, Mao Te Sung, Kim Jung Ill, etc. With the economic crisis, I fear we may get a taste of socialism that we will all regret. The Reid, Pelosi, Boxer, Obama, Frank, Feinstein (to name a few) group will make this country weak.

Bottom line, I am exercising my constitutional rights now, before the election.

I think it would be contrary to common sense to purchase registered items anticipating the event the political climate changed towards confiscation.

Which ones would they come after first, do you suppose?

Well, Name, Address, Fingerprints, Picture, Tax Stamp...

Those should be easy to lift.

I'm seeing these "want to buy stripped AR lowers -- not from dealer's", ads on a lot of forums lately. I'm figuring I could make a small industry out of buying them, tacking on $100 and selling them to these people that own and update their air-raid shelters... but so far, no one will bite, even when I argue that they pay the premium for it not to be tracked down when the gun grabbers start coming.

What's wrong with this country where and honest law-abiding gun owner can't make a buck on this foolish hysteria?

When they come (and they've been coming for a long time), it will be by inches and squeezes, not by tanks and door knocks... and they will come and they will win unless we educate the next generation.

I am not worried , at this point, about having my stuff confiscated. But, I think if the DEMs gain the majority in congress and win the white house, the cost of the tax stamp will substantially increase. Call me thrifty I guess. I simply want to invest my money wisely. $200 today might seem like a bargin one day. Sadly, Obama has a track record of being anti-gun.

This isn't meant to start or fuel a firearms panic. I was just curious if anyone else feels the same way.

Yep. I've been considering some NFA stuff for the last couple years, and am finally about to jump on it for similar reasons. If they don't rewrite the NFA act of 1934, they'll at least raise the tax on them. I'd like to get in now. Plus, it's an excuse to buy more guns

That's my theory too. I don't believe drastic changes will occur initially. I think they would start by raising the tax to $500 or $1000. The vote history for our liberal candidate show several attempts to raise firearms related taxes, including higher taxing for ammo.

when he says its time for a change you better take it to heart ! i believe he will sign every gun bill that that is put in front of him you have to look at his record not what he is saying now but what he has done in the past. demos will have control of the house & senate plus the whitehouse this is about as bad as it gets Republicans will have no fillerbuster power at all people we need to wake up !!!! were getting ready to lose a lot if not all of are rights & freedom this is a turn point in American history & not a good one!!!!!!!!!

We have done a very brisk business in NFA weapons since day one, but this year we are seeing more people doing multiple transfers of like items to cover all the bases.

We're also doing a lot more transfers to people up north too, which is an indicator.
