Bulgarian brass case 7.62x54R ammo?

It's all very similar and fine for shooting steel, plinking out to maybe 300 yards. 

 

Beyond that, the best surplus is the Russian match stuff made in the 70's. It's brass case and 182g boat tail. That's the best I've found w/ the exception of handloading.

What's your favorite ammo?


It doesn't really matter to me. Most of what we shoot is machine gun ammo anyways. If I had to pick a favorite, I'd say for the 91/30s it would be the 1940s lead core ammo that came in 2 summers ago. For my carbines, 182gr heavy ball Hungarian made ammo.

It's good stuff.

Russian, 188 factory code.
