Hi, y'all! I actually joined in April. I've read some posts & gotten a feel for the place. Nice place you've got here. I've mostly been helping my mother move into a new house, & we're still getting the old one ready to go on the market.

About me: I'm in Robertson county. I'm a 49-yr-old biker, Navy vet, & a calibration tech by trade. I don't have a lot of weapons--I guess 9 or 10 at the moment--but I'm always ready to add more. I'm still slowly rebuilding after a burglary in '06. In fact, the Big Brown Truck brought me a Yugo M48 just this afternoon; now begins the tedious process of getting all the Cosmoline (or the Soviet-bloc equivalent--Commieline?) off & out of it.

Now I'm off to search the forum, 'cause the safety on the new M48 is frozen in place. I'm not worried; among other things, I used to work in a machine shop. Anyhow, an intro isn't the place to dive into that.

Just wanted to be neighborly & say hello, & that I look forward to spending time here.

I appreciate the sentiment: I thank vets myself, & I are one. I've got a quasi-stepson (ex-gf's son, but we were together 11 years, so I helped the kid grow up) serving in the USMC on Okinawa.

That said, I'm suffer from no delusions. I got far more from serving than the Navy ever got out of my service. Not that I was a substandard sailor, just that it benefited me in ways I didn't realize at the time. I'm sure other vets can say the same.
