Academy Sports figured it out

Recommended Posts

I was there today, and a lady approached the gun counter and asked "Do you have any 22 shells?"

The guy at the counter replied "Only if you buy a rifle."

Her response floored me! Se said "O.k., how much are they?"

I didn't stick around for the rest of it, but sort of wish I had now. Are people really desperate enough to buy a gun they didn't otherwise want to get 22 ammo? :shake:

Well I will say this, I'm glad that someone who goes and really wants to buy a new .22 will have the chance to get ammo too. For a long time that was impossible.

Agreed. Not too great for those of us sitting on a bakers dozen of rimfire weapons in the collection already though.

Still, I'm glad the kids will be more likely to gets chance to shoot now. And I guess there are a few 22. guns out there I could still buy. ;)

Yeah, bittersweet for sure. I need to get another one. I really want an M&P AR in .22 but I love the Ruger 10/22's and a bunch of others.
