School shooting stopped by…Men with guns

It amazes me how many kids have supposedly been so hard core to walk in to a school, blow chunks out of people without crying at the sight if it or getting sick, and then have the same balls to put the barrel to their head and pull the trigger. I don't buy it, I hate saying I think they may have been forced, or shot while someone else pulled the trigger with more discipline, but good Lord, really????

You're applying your own view of the world to folks who view the world in a much different way. Trust me, there are soulless monsters who are not yet adults. They exist in every country, in every culture and all throughout history. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

"He had obtained the firearms from his home. They had been secured in the house, but Padgett "defeated the security measures,'' Anderson said." His parents are in for a world of legal pain for the upcoming negligence suit

I agree with you 100%, that's not what I meant. The physical part of picking up that weapon (no remorse goes with what you said). But I remember the first time I shot an AR. I'd shot bolt actions and lever actions all my life, but I didn't pick up all the movements to jump out and do a 3 gun competition the next day.

Like you said, they are monsters, and maybe I'm trying to make sense out of something that doesn't make sense. Which includes me trying to make sense out of the grab hungry government.

Is it normal for other schools around the U.S. to hold normal classes the day before the last day of school?

These lil monsters leave a wake of destruction in their paths. Imagine trying to live the rest or your life, if it were your own child who did this. I know we'd like to think we know our kids, but most of the parents of these shooters saw no outward signs to indicate their sons would do such a horrible thing.

Oh I often wonder about your statement:  " but most of the parents of these shooters saw no outward signs to indicate their sons would do such a horrible thing." I think far more parents see the signs but don't want to believe their child could have these problems and they continue trying to brainwash themselves until they believe their child is perfect. No parent wants their child to be less than perfect. If more parents would learn the face the harsh reality that they do have a problem child these issues could be addressed quicker and maybe many of them prevented. In all honesty I think many times fellow students create these situations them selves with all the they bullying going on in our children's lives today. Many children are bullied to the point of taking some kind of action. Some quietly just commit suicide while others strike out against their bullies with school shootings. The whole issue and I know this will strike a few nerves but parents don't get involved enough in the children's lives that when there are changes in moods or actions they don't see them until it's to late. I do realize it is much harder raising a child today than it was 30 or so years ago when times were better but it is still a parents job to do the best they can for their children and far to many are failing at it..................jmho

There's no doubt that a lot of parents don't pay enough attention to what's going on with their kids. We see it when their kid gets shot while committing a robbery and their response is 'my lil <insert name here> was a good kid, he didn't deserve to die'. We saw it with the Columbine kids once the investigation started, they turned up all kinds of evidence of their planning. Also, it's not just parents...look how many people knew something was wrong with the VA Tech shooter and the Gabrielle Giffords shooter. Still, there are cases where an otherwise good parent had no clue. Kids are good at hiding stuff (my parents never found out about a LOT of stuff I did growing up).

I'm a little torn about the bullying. On one hand, we all dealt with bullies growing up and we either learned to deal with them or we got past it in some other way. Kids have always been mean to one another. It seems to be worse now, but I'm not sure how much of it is sensationalism by the media and how much of it is an actual increase in occurrences.

looks like they already identified the problem...  it was the lockers.

"A concrete pedestal sits in the middle of the locker room, as do raised lockers, blocking coaches and teachers from viewing the entire room, McCain said. But he cautioned that he had no idea if that problem played a factor in the shooting."
