I lean towards JD simply because it's better tasting, but Dickel is owned by the Brits and spell "whiskey" like a socialist. Add to that the accusations that Dickel was aging whiskey in Kentucky. So "Whisky" is how a socialist spells whiskey?  Has all that Scotch drinking turned me into a liberal?

It's bad enough JD is owned by some Kentucky outfit, unacceptable that Dickle is owned by foreigners.

Agreed. I'll take some Cumberland Cask for my TN Whiskey.

The JD single barrels I've tried were VERY nice on my taste buds!

We're lucky to live in Bourbon country! Other than JD Single Barrel I like a bunch of what is coming out of Kentucky! But, with the growing worldwide demand the prices are starting to sting!

Dickel barrel select is good.. I can not stomach any kind of jack. I personally prefer knob creek. Speaking of that I am really close to them right now. :)

Hitler didn't drink that much and when he did it was wine.  ;)

I agree the higher end Dickel is good. JTM We the People of the United States, in order to form a more Perfect Union......

JD wants the definition of Tennessee Whiskey to reflect their recipe.   Then no one can call their product by that name because JD's recipe is proprietary.

Any whiskey made in Tennessee is Tennessee whiskey.

Mike has hit the nail on the head. Now, back to my knob creek for a little reflection on the discussion at hand!

All Dickel is good to me.  JD is too expensive to mix and too poor to drink straight.
