I think the anodizing came out great on these, these knives are going to be very special Edited by willis68

Didn't realize they were going to be colored either. I was kinda looking forward to a more subdued look. Looks good though. Is the state outline straight on the bottom? It looks a bit angled in the pic.

Sweet but where's the rest of the knife?

Patience young Grasshopper, good things come to those who wait!

Yes, it does look angled.

I believe it is an exact copy of the logo at the top of the site and in that case is a perfect match haha. Looks like the lettering on the bottom is right in line.

Yes, a little more flash than I was expecting, but it probably won't be seen out of my desk very much anyway.

Anxious to see the rest.

For anyone worried about the coloration you can always do what I was going to do with the second one I never bought. Get a little skateboard grip tape on there and you'll be all set again in no time. I was going to do this to number 2 only because it would have been for someone who has never even heard of TGO.

Geeze I can't wait for these to be done. :x:

I could make some kind of weapon out of it.

Tie it to some rope and swing it around real fast. That might leave a nasty bruise or welt where it hits the bad guy. Get two of them and make you some bolos. ;)

That brings up a good point. From what I've read anodizing is a treatment to the metal but will these graphics be permanent or can they be worn off? Not that I'd want to. Just wondering.

I just spoke with Dave,

He has a guy building these right now, Dave's own words "these are some of the nicest knives we have ever put out"
I am expecting them to be shipped to me next Tuesday, this comes from the man himself

Almost there folks!

Good to hear these are getting here quick. Leaving town to the occupied states of the NE and was hoping to get it before then. Would have to put a hold on it shipping otherwise, that way it doesn't sit on my front porch for a week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It should hold up just like any anodizing, think of this way, every knife out there that is aluminum or Titanium that is black is anodized, as the raw form is not black in color

I have a TR3 Pro Tech that is anodized Red, it has been through hell and at around 5 years old still is as Red as it was when new
