HK VP9 - might have to give this striker fired thing another try

I've never shot a striker fired pistol and particularly liked it, but may have to give this one a try. I really liked the grip of the P30 but was never able to shoot it well. The trigger reset is much longer than the USP/HK45 (which I shoot very well) series which caused issues. It seems well priced to.

This pistol looks very promising. The internet has been abuzz about this pistol since the info was released yesterday. I think I will give one a try.

BTW, sell your Glocks now boys and girls, while you still can get something for them.  :pleased:

I've owned two USP's and i've shot a LEM 45c.

It looks promising but i'm kinda over H&k's prices....

I've no doubt about the build quality or reliability... but i can get that same level of reliability elsewhere for cheaper.

550 aint bad for sure. But really not much is needed to get a Glock up to speed for how I use a pistol. If HK offers a factory threaded one without charging an arm and a leg, I might be interested.

I'm intrigued by this pistol... I'm not a fan of the paddle style magazine release on the h&k and Walther, but if it shoots anywhere near as well as a p30/hk45, with a striker firing mechanism, odds are good that I will buy this instead of another Glock.

H&K does have bragging rights on making the very first polymer framed pistol ever, which was striker-fired (VP70). Good to see them getting back to their roots.

The P7M8-style magazine release takes a little getting used to, but now that I have I find myself wondering why all pistols don't use it...

anyone seen one of these at a LGS yet? I'm ready to buy, just not at Gunbroker prices.

Unfortunately, Gander Mountain is the only HK dealer around here, and I'm not even going to bother looking there.

Haven't seen any yet, haven't been by Franklin gun shop in a few weeks though. I figure they'd show up there or guns and leather first. We made the trip to gander the week they opened, saw a used, beat to death USP 45 for either 750 or 799! Highway robbery as my dad says
