Just joined yesterday. Have been a long time shooter, mainly pistols but I have a very nice Weatherby 223 that I enjoy. Shoot mainly CZ's: 75 B, P-01, P-09, Rami (that I carry). Don't find many people down here that use them. Have a soft spot for a 1911 and am always on the lookout for an older gun I can bring back to life. Found an old Dan Wesson that had been road hard and put up wet but took a chance and bought it. Put in new extra power springs: recoil spring, main spring, firing pin spring + new firing pin + optical sights and a nice set of cocobolo double diamond grips. (barrel was actually in good shape) Then sent it up to Kentucky Gun Coating and had it Cerakoted. It really looks nice now and the before and after pictures are really something.

Anyway..here I am and am glad to be here. Oh, before I forget - I am retiring at the end of this year!

Welcome aboard. The Rami has caught my eye for a while. Just added another 22lr plinker, so it will be a while before I start looking at another purchase.

Have had the Rami for a few years and I normally carry it with the extended 10 magazine. Very accurate and very under valued. There are 2 kinds, all steel and polymer. I have the polymer frame which is a bit lighter as a carry. Used to carry a Kahr for a while but switched back to my old faithful Rami.

Take care and thanks for the note.

Howdy Fred and Welcome to TGO

I like CZ's. Have a CZ75 D Compact and P-07.

So you have the compact decocker model. I assume you also use the decocker mode on the 07 rather than using the safety. I prefer the decocker on a pistol myself. Just feel more comfortable with it. Glad to know there is someone else here that also appreciates CZ's. The P-09 is the big brother to the 07 and has 19 round standard magazines. I really think I like my 09 or rather I shoot my 09 more than my full size 75 most for the time. But I did put a nice custom set of grips on the 75 and some fiber optic sights on it. Kind of spruced it up a bit and that red front fiber optic front on it really stands out. Thanks for the note. Regards.

Welcome to TGO, a fairly new member here as well.

Have a CZ P-01 myself, always lusting for a few more CZs.

Congrats on your upcoming retirement. More time to brings some guns back to life, huh?

Thanks for the Welcome. I just don't think you can beat CZ's. Picked up a Phantom not long ago and it is pretty similar to my P-09. Thanks on the retirement Congrats. Yep...have pretty much decided to enjoy life. If I can find something interesting, yes giving guns new life is really a fun hobby of mine and it really is satisfying when I sit back and look at the before and after pictures. Regards.

welcome to TGO glad to have another CZ guy around. I have a 82 and a 75 Shadow (heavily customized), but the decockers are my favorite too. I love my 97 BD, P-01, and Phantom. I don't have any of their polys yet, but I do like that Omega trigger of theirs.

Yep...the decockers are my preferred CZ's too. I do have the 07 and the 09 (big brother). Put night sights on my 07 and it is truly a very underrated pistol. Have put probably 2000 rounds through it and never a problem. I did change out that plastic guide rod and put in a stainless steel rod from Stainless Steel Guide Rods (www.ssguiderods.com). Also replaced the guide rod in my 75 B. You should go check them out. Right now they have a sale going on.
