Cell phone and internet issues

Recommended Posts

I have been having issues with my cell phone service for last couple days along with my broadband internet service since it is with my phone service. I thought it was just a problem with my company but my neighbors have Verizon and Sprint and they are also have phone issues. Is anyone here having issues with problems getting service when you try and make calls of once the call begins it just cuts off the call. They are having same issues with their phone services......Just wondering if anyone else has noticed any issues?

There was a fiber cut in Gallatin that affected 9 cell sites yesterday. Each site has multiple carriers on it, which can impact lots of folks.
Full service will return ASAP

Back when I was using Verizon, I called them about dropped calls. I wasn't super mad and the calls weren't urgent, but they were very apologetic and knocked a sizable chunk off my bill without me even asking.

No Problems with my Verizon. I have noticed though recently when I call someone and it goes to their voicemail that the "woman talking" sounds different.

Well considering the addiction so many people have to their cell phones, tablets, androids, laptops and all the other little electronic toys out there not it's like telling a Heroin addict your out of his fixes and he instantly goes in to DT's and with drawls. I guess I am to old fashion. I own an old desk top computer to be here with ya'll and an old flip cell phone that makes and receives calls and has voice mail, no pictures no internet or other frills and thrills because if I break down on the road I can't call for help with a home phone which by the way I don't have. I can actually see folks asking you to do that before their with drawls begin..................

Yeah I had an issue yesterday with Verizon on the west side of town. Was amazed as that's the first dropped call I've had since switching to Verizon 6 months ago.

I think it might be more than just a  fiber optic service line issue but that is my opinion. I can see a fiber optic line messing with certain phone companies for a short repair time period but I think to date Sprint users are the only ones saying they have not had any issues YET!!!! Not paranoid but just wondering just how many phone services are being effected. I stopped having issues yesterday about mid day.

It is possible that if this is a sprint line that other companies are contracting usage with sprint, sprint is prioritizing service to their customers first. Prioritization is a rather common practice. Sent from somewhere in the cosmos using magic...and bacon. Edited by Ted S.
