My New Carry (XD SC9)

Recommended Posts

Yep, been a'wantin' one for some time.

Finally grabbed one from Coal Creek recently, fired a quick 100 through it immediately. Sweet, to say the least.

Just got my DM Bullard Dual Carry for it a few days ago.

I put a Pearce on the short mag, shaved it off some so it doesn't have a "point".

It's a thick and hefty sucker for sure, but compact...feels good on the hip, conceals quite well (nothing conceals as well as my Kahr PM9, of course).

And it is BUILT. You can tell that the 20,000 round torture test on these XD's is no fluke.

Did I mention I'm crazy about it? :hiding:

I can't read the stamp on that holster; who makes it?

David Bullard

Even though these are custom molded/boned for the exact gun, he seems to keep a good stock for popular guns, as he does a lot of Texas gun shows. None of the three I've gotten from him have taken over a week from order to in hand. Even bought one off eBay, where he has a presence also.

Besides nice quality, pretty nifty design. You can use it as seen, or put the hooks out of the slots on the outside with a spacer to tuck. You can even reverse them in the slots and wear it OWB if you get a wild hair.

Only two slots for height/cant, but there's already more than 15 degree cant built in.

I just got a couple of kydex hooks from Comp-Tac, with more holes, thought I'd play around even a little more with it. While compact, this is a thick sucker, like Glock 26, and exact depth/cant/hip placement is more important than the identical models I have for Ruger SP101 and Kahr PM9.

I may well even nix the Pearce extension; even though I shaved it down, it still tends to make a "point" on back of shirt in my sweet spot. I'm pretty spoiled carrying the Kahr in the Bullard or in pocket, really like to go as totally concealed as possible.

I just bought the same gun 2 days ago. I bought 3 16rd mags with grip

extensions cuz I got a deal but I really only need 1. Would you be interested

in taking one or two off of my hands?

Talkin' to moi?

I have 2 ten rounders and two 16 rounders.

Don't really need more don't reckon, might take them really cheap just for helluvit for range use, though, PM me with price. They have the plastic sleeve on bottom on them?

I'd say if you put them on the Member Classifieds for a fair price you'd have no trouble selling them, especially since no problem to mail.

Just for reference, I bought mine from CTD for $25 and $34.

Midway has them for about 5 bucks less each, but there was other stuff from CTD I wanted that Midway didn't sell, plus I had a $10 off discount number.
