I think most Republican voters don't consider the ramifications of McCain picking Sarah Palin as his runningmate.

People that were going to vote for McCain anyway think she's great. Undecided voters, especially the pissed off Hillary Clinton supporters, are taking a closer look. They're not going to vote for McCain just because they have the same reproductive organs as his VP pick.

They've seen the interviews where she was a babbling idiot. They've seen the disturbing video of her speaking at her dominionist church in Wasilla. They've heard her say in the debate that there is "flexibility" in the constitution in regards to the power she expects to wield. They know she wants to do away with any sex education besides the abstinence only approach and they see how much good that did her teenage daughter.

Then, they look at McCain. He's old and decrepit and has a history of health problems. They understand that there is a very real chance she could become President if his health deteriorated.

This election is every bit Obama vs Palin as it is Obama vs McCain. The people that are so enamored by her don't consider the possibility that she cold be a huge liability for McCain in the end.

I don't have a dog in the hunt so spare me the "troll" accusations. It's only my opinion as an independent voter but I think she is going to cost the Republicans big time in this election.

I dont gamble, but if i did i would give 10 to 1 odds that Obamie will be our next Fool in Chief:death:! Hope to god i am wrong but it dont look like it!

Once again, as it has been for as long as I've been able to grasp politics, it's the lesser of two evils. And that's a pretty easy decision for me.

Since Brokaw selected the questions it is no surprise that nothing was asked about gun control, border control or abortion.

I got the impression Brokaw thought he should be more important.
