It was negligence on my part. I falied to follow a basic safety practice of using an anti static mat while reloading 45 LC Black Powder Cartridges. I still do not have full motion and use of my fingers, however, they do seem to be improving over time. I no longer reload as it scared me ****less. I have gotten rid of almost all of my reloading gear with a few more things to list. For God's sakes guys...use every means of safety you can. I went so long without no problems of any kind whether loading smokeless or black powder cartridges. It only took a single "BOOM!" to get my attention. Sad indeed.

Not a bad one but I bought a ProTech godson and it bit me a few minutes ago. Dang this thing is sharp :)

How was the trip in the ambulance? Are they keeping you overnight for observation? Did they get an orthopedic surgeon to look at it? I hope all those medical bills doesn't financially wreck you.

Looks like they are not going to have to amputate at this point. They gave me a prescription for pain killers and antibiotics to keep it from getting infected. They also said that I should keep it elevated, and I should be able to return to work in a couple of weeks but only light duty for a while.
