So I have just ordered a new bull barrel, stock, etc. for my 10/22, because, let's face it, I was bored with it. I have a few requests however. What are some modifications people here have made to their little .22 rifle? Pictures are a plus :D What things just scream "overkill" when it comes to customizing one of these things? Any advice on what to do, not to do? I just want a fun range gun that looks decent. *Any stock recommendations must be able to hold the .920 barrel.

PS. What should I list the factory stock and barrel for (unfired) and expect to get for it? Thanks!

That is my first. Basic build with a 16" GM Bull Barrel, a few trigger bits, and a Revolution Yukon stock.

I have most of the pieces ready for my second one, I just need to get the stock and optics. It will be a 20" Flutted Sporter Barrel, Skeeter Trigger Group, CPC Bolt, and either a Ruger Walnut stock (if I can ever find one in stock) or a S&K Walnut stock.

EO,

Great looking gun! Are the stocks on the new 10/22's walnut stocks? If so, I have one for you. PM me if you need it. I am going with a 20in barrel on this one I am building. I did a regular bull barrel instead of fluted and hope I made the right choice.

The unfluted bull will be fine, as long as you dont plan on hauling it around to hunt squirrels, carry it for an extended period of time, or have petite women spend time shooting it while standing. :D

Some of the 10/22's have the Walnut Stocks, but with all the different models they have now, I cant keep up with which ones do. This is what they look like:P7092171.JPG

If your gun happened to come with one of these I would love to pick it up off you.

"borrowed" from ARFCOM, this guy calls it his pocket rifle.

Pocket Rifle - 10/22 with 5.5" barrel, folding stock, suppressor - barrel is 1:9 twist for stabilization of 60 gr. SSS Aguila round - incredibly accurate - now has Weaver 1-3x20 scope on it - I love this rifle! Incredibly quiet

If I ever do a NFA build, I think it will have to be one of these bad boys.

Hmmmmmmm......that's got me to rethinking my NFA .22 build as well. That's pretty cool.

Can anybody tell me what all he has used here? Is this like a bull pup stock and a reciever from a 10/22, or what?????

it looks like thats a basic butler creek folding stock that has been cut down in the forend area to match the shorter NFA barrel that has been installed in the 10/22 action...

Any idea what the wood (birch) stock off a wally world special is worth (the 22in barrel one)? Brand new? And what is reasonable for the barrel (22in stainless unfired)? Having a hard time finding actual selling prices for these on the internet.:)
