Bandit is mostly a black lab. I got her from here on the board last year. She is a dear member of our family now.

No pictures available at the moment, but I have a 6 year old black APBT mixed with Chow named Petey, and man he's the most timid big dog I've ever seen

Posted

Falkor, Molly, and Jackson.  Jackson, the big one, is still a puppy.  45 pounds and 17 weeks old.

An exceptionally useless mongrel hound dog mix.  We think she's mostly blue heeler and dalmatian, which I wouldn't wish on anyone.

No good pictures available right now, these are 3 years old and she has grown since then - 75# now.  I adopted her from the Franklin Shelter when she was about 6 months old, back in December 2010. American Staffordshire Pit Terrier - there are times I think she is mixed with something else but both vets she has seen said they do not think there is any mix in her. She is a great dog, protective of my daughter and wife when I am not around, but also very gentle and loves to play.

Got a mutt and a coonhound, and fond memories of others.

The mutt was adopted by daughter, born in the pound and brung home as a tiny near hairless little thing. She is a tennis ball fetch addict.

Coonhound was adopted from a neighbor because the fella had wore out his welcome after 6 months. After eating all their furniture, chasing all their cats, and digging up neighbors' flower beds, they had him loaded up in the pickup ready to take him to the pound. We have an acre or so of fenced woods, so he gets along pretty good here.

Many breeds love people, but the two coonhounds I've had, seem the most dedicated people dogs I've had. Not particularly trainable, but real affectionate.

This guy is sposed to be a treeing walker, but doesn't look like your typical treeing walker. But there must be a true-breeding subset of black'n'white shorthairs, because I ran across some pictures of a whole slew of black'n'whites that look like his cousins. Am curious if there is a specific name for the variant.
