Open carry advocates prompt Chipotle posting

I agree.

Yet it begs the question... Is the problem the guys, or the rifles?

The guys because the rifles do not have legs and did not walk into the restaurant on their own. I still believe they are plants and probably paid a few bucks to pull this off and pose for the perfect posture picture. It just seems to fake to be a real action by a true Pro gun person..........jmho

My understanding is that these guys have no affiliation with any local gun group... Probably as fake as the Sandy Hook actors.

Another thing, if I saw these idiots walking in the door of a restaurant I was eating at, part of me would wonder if they aren't some psychos comming in to shoot the place up, I guarntee my hand would be on my grip under the table until I was sure that it was just some dain bramaged attention whores. I wonder when someone will just pop some moron like this when they walked through the door. If that ever happened, i'm not going to feel too bad for them, i'll take the attitude, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

These guys look like they are just wanting a photo opportunity. I think there is some other guy down in Texas open carrying an AR in private businesses as well. I think one of the reasons he stated for doing it was that Texas does not allow open carry of a handgun with or without a CHP; however, state law does allow for the open carry of long guns. He was trying to point out how ridiculous that is. Needless to say I almost exclusively carry concealed but do believe in the right to open carry these, guys are just pushing it to the extreme and providing ammo to the anti-gunners.

Hopefully this doesn't change their policy on openly carrying broadswords, longbows, machetes and chainsaws. If I can't even carry one of those openly then I'm boycotting Chipotle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

so... they are nut jobs.  which side of the issue they are truly on is debatable.    ... but, there is no, none, not one acceptable reason to take a low-ready firing grip on a rifle in a public place of eating.... unless your life is threatened.  It's tough to asses, approach, and quickly remove to rifle-toating "unknowns" from a premises, but that is exactly what needed to be done.  ...  Then there mama's need to spank there rears for being rude at the "dinner table".  dad gum!

I would ban those two for life. ... open carrying a rifle for selfish gratification is annoying.  Taking a low-ready firing grip beside the dinner table in public - for no good reason.  "No Soup (burrito) for YOU!"

I am still putting my money on the fact they are plants by anti gun group and this is all a staged and rehearsed and well planned operation. Was it not in Texas where that young lady lost her parents at a  Luby's Restaurant and stood in defense of these style weapons along with several other carry issues during her speech before to Congressional committee on firearms. I think  that may have also been why Texas was chosen to pull this off..............jmho.   Someone with more computer savvy than I needs to research them two bafoons if possible............jmho

I had not seen this photo.  No wonder they didn't want them there.  I read one report that said that they had just come from a shoot/range and didn't want to leave the guns in the car.  When we eat out coming back from a cowboy match we only eat where we can see the truck & one person has "Gun Guard" when everybody else is in the restroom or ordering.

While I hate to post a link to a group like this, I'll agree that Alfonso Delcampo is not someone I want speaking for me as a gun owner:

I do agree with you on this guy speaking for our gun rights but I want folks that do open this link and read the replies to pay close attention to the last reply. It says  " So Ironic as this was one of Jesse's favorite places to eat till she was "Murdered in Aurora!!!" Ok here is a woman raising hell at a company that up until all of this began was a gun friendly Zone. Her daughter was Murdered in a "GUN FREE ZONE"  It is fact, you can't fix stupid because she wants to create another GUN FREE ZONE!!!!

They were flaunting their "mean, scary black assault rifles!" Their twenty minutes of fame could very easily set back open carry of pistols in the Lone Star state. OCT should disavow any association with these idiots. Michael Noirot Clarksville, Tennessee Life member National Rifle Association Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm not saying thatI have all the answers but I think that what I do works well.  I carry most everywhere I go, if I open carry I do so in a place where it's not gong to get people riled up.  If a business is not posted, yet not known to be a progun establishment I conceal.  It's working, I can carry almost everywhere I need to go and the soccer moms don't all excited at the grocery store because they don't know there is a gun 4 feet away from them.  Their ignoranc is bliss for us both.

These guys mess up everything for the people trying to carry a handgun for protection.  The media loves these types of stories because it makes us look bad.
