Hope you're back in shape before this happens to you!

Watch about the two minute mark. That guy is crazy! Is it normal to spray elk pee in your mouth.

Here is my back surgery thread: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=987

Microdiscectomy back in April, 07. Been fine since, short recovery time, too.

Good luck with yours. PM or post if you need/want to discuss it since I've been there before.

Go ahead and buy a bottle of Senna S (laxitive) - You will need it because you won't be able to **** for a few days.. just start taking it from day one and you will be glad you did. A nurse on this site, RN MEDIC, gave me some good advice after surgery, and this was one of them.

AMEN about the poopin'!!

I had to have my elbow screwed back together when I was 18. It was a long surgery (over 8 hrs) and I didn't poop until the 4th day. It literally felt like I crapped a 6" wide iron pipe. That was the closest I've come to knowing what it's like in prison! I literally sat on the toilet an cried it hurt so bad.

It is an experience to say the least. It has been awhile since I went deer hunting, years, but I still remember every deer I killed. The work that went into it, the getting up that morning, the excitement of it all, climbing up the stand being careful of the frost that had formed on it, sitting there, complete quietness of it all, then as the sun comes up, you start hearing things, a squirrel, a bird, other little critters that are doing there thing, then you hear the sound, a sound that I don't know how to describe, but you know it when you hear it, your heart starts to beat faster and faster, you haven't seen anything yet, you slowly turn, I mean slowly turn toward the sound, this can take minutes, seems like hours, and then you see him. You are afraid at this point that your the sound of your heartbeat is going to scare him away, you make sure the thing has antlers! You slowly raise the rifle/muzzleloader/bow up, make sure you are aimed right where you want to hit him, and you breath....in and then out.....hold it.......fire. Then you watch the deer either drop (my preference) or take off running leaving a trail for you to follow, because you know you made a great shot, you know you hit him where it counts. You wait a few minutes, again, seems like hours, then you get down and go to the deer, if he ran, you track the deer, if you shot him, they leave a blood trail, you follow that trail and usually within a few hundred yards, there the deer will be. You are standing over the deer, your adrenalin is still pumping, you are smiling, it has been a good day hunting.

That's kind of the way I see it.

Meh, forgot to mention the dragging, the lifting, the moving to a point where you can get to it with a truck/4-wheeler, oh, and the field dressing....Course it was always fun doing all that while everyone else around is wishing they were!
