Question for you guitarists.

Oh and Lester, if you want a rotating cab because you know nothing else quite sounds the same, but don't want to shell out $$$ for a Leslie, start searching Craigslist for old Kimball organs. Sometimes people just want them hauled off and they will yield you more than just crappy old speakers that sound great. The larger models had rotating foam horns. Worked really well when my friend ripped it out and mounted if into a milk crate. Now *that* I wish I still had.

I have a motion sound rotary, better than nothing, but it ain't a leslie 147.

That old "combo" leslie model 16 had a rotating foam baffle in front of a 12" full range speaker. Was more marketed toward guitar players way back when. Cabinet style and hardware exactly matched blackface Fender amps. In fact, it may have been marketed by Fender, come to think of it. Fender Leslie or whatever. Motion sound sold one model like that a few years ago as well, marketed to guitarists, but dunno if that is still in their current catalog.

Can't recall the organ model, maybe a wurlitzer high-end home organ. Maybe some other brand. One time I was inside a home organ repairing it, that had a small auxiliary speaker in a can mounted inside the main cabinet along with the main speakers. It was on a motorized swing arm with a counterweight on the other end. When you clicked the rotary tab, it would spin the entire speaker. As best I recall, maybe a 4" or 6" speaker. There have been some oddball rotary speakers over the years.
